I don’t really need to explain how important water is. However, it is important to distinguish between good drinking water and not so good. In general, however, you want to be aiming to drink between 2-3 liters of water per day. This may seem a challenge, however, if you can drink 1 liter of water in the morning when you wake up then you only have to fill up a 2litre water bottle to drink for the rest of the day.
The best water to drink is spring or mineral water. You can buy these in bottles at the shop or buy in bulk.
For others including myself early on spending money on quality drinking water every day was expensive. If this is the situation for you, you can usually find cheaper bottles of spring water from stores or you can use carbon-filtered tap water. Please refer to this section for some examples of carbon filters. Berkey do a good quality carbon filtered system. It may cost alot to buy one but it pays for itself after a while. A cheaper option is a company called Berkefeld.
We prefer spring water because it is rich in minerals and has been filtered naturally, therefore we call it a whole food one of the main reasons why we do not like water that has been altered. If possible it is best to rotate spring waters. You can buy different brands of drinking water from online shopping stores and have them delivered. This is an efficient way of getting spring water.
Recommended spring water brands are:
European: Evian, Icelandic Glacial, Icelandic Spring, Aqua Panna, Volvic, Evamor and Voss (but not most other European brands).
American: Simple Truth Artesian Water, Simply Sedona, Walmart, Whole Foods (365), Ozarka, Resource, Trader Joe’s, Sprouts, and Alpine Pure.
Canadian: Artesian Spring, Mt. Doug Spring, Canadian Springs, Salt Spring Island Water, (B.C). You may have a tablespoon of Ice Age Premium Glacial Water per cup of spring or other water, but not. The reason is it is very low in minerals.
Asian/Pacific: Hawaiian Springs, Waikea, Ka-Vita, Eternal (from New Zealand).
Please stay away from other ‘designer’ and ‘fancy’ waters. They do not seem to hydrate the body as much as the above. These include but are not limited to
Reverse osmosis
Alkaline water
Water softening
OTHER NOTES ON WATER
Stay away from well-water; it usually has too much manganese in it. This includes for showering.
We do not recommend distilled water because its nutrients have been removed.. However distilled water can be excellent in healing reactions.
Try not to drink much with meals as it can dilute the food too much.
We find that water bought it plastic bottles is fine to drink. Plastic is not good if its left out in the sun or if acidic liquids are inside like tomato juice for example. However if you are still concerned you can buy sprint water and then put it into a glass container at home.
You will be surprised how important it is and how much better people feel drinking the correct and right amount of water, often people cannot move forwards because they are not drinking enough water.
